Blocks, Blocks, Blocks

Hi dear friends!
today I show you some new blocks I made and some I got from my swap partners.
These are the last three Civil War BOW blocks I sewed.
Block 29-30-31
My collection is growing so fast!! Once more I tell you that I can't wait till Saturday to see the new block.

This is the block I got from Heather in Nova Scotia for the 12" Block Swap Australia. Heather was my June partner. Her block is matching perfectly with my other ones.
And here is the block I got from Anna in the Netherlands for the 6" Australia Swap group. Another little beauty!!
Have a nice Sunday. Hugs. Pink

Walk at Sete Cidades

Hydrangea
Hi friends!
Yesterday we made a nice walk around Sete Cidades. It was so hot that we decided to escape over there. Fresh, cloudy, beautiful for a relaxing walk. Here some suggestive pictures I took. Afterwards we came back home refreshed and relaxed :)

New guest room

Hi friends,

during the last days we were very busy finishing and decorating the new guest room. Sunday we will have the first guest (friends) coming.
I made some new cushions for it. The shabby bedside table was an odd pine thing I inherited from my aunt and it allways was around the house. In 15 minutes with just a little splash of paint (dry brush) and new handels it is a new and cute bedside table.

And this is the finished guest room....

Now I hope to have some free time to chatch up with my UFO's, Civil War block, Dear Jane, Block swap ....so many things....

Block swap chatching up

Hi friends,
this morning I was able to solve some little misunderstanting with my swap partners (thank you Sue for your help) and in the afternoon I managed to chatch up with the blocks I had to sew.
Heather was my June partner and she asked for a Log Cabin Block in blues and whites with a yellow center. Here it is....

Helen, my July partner wished a Star block in blue shades, so I did a Friendship Star. And here it is....

My last block for today is the one I did for Anna, my partner for June in the 6" group. Anna lives in the Netherlands, so I hope the block won't take too long to fly to her. She asked for a 9 patch block in warm autumn colors. And here it is....

Now I think I will have a nap and later pick up Valentino from his summer school.

Growing

Just one picture of my growing Civil War quilt. I love it!!!

Civil War block of the week

Hi friends,
here are my  two new blocks for the Civil War Block of the Week.
Blocks 27 and 28

I love all these tiny 4" blocks!
I'm still working on my last DJ border. Slowly, slowly I hand quilt it, every moment I can spare.
Look how fun Hughino and Rex are! They are looking in the livingroom from the garden and they seem to ask: "can we come in??".

Have a nice Sunday crafting and creating! Hugs.
