Today I took the challenge and did my 3rd block for the Civil War Quilt.

Here it is ready for the reverse appliqué

Done!

It was a challenge but I am proud with the result.

CIVIL WAR BLOCK OF THE WEEK

Hi friends,

A few days ago I discovered the Civil War Block of the Week and thought that they were very interesting. So I decided to try following them. Last year I bought a lot of Civil War fabrics and this is the perfect project for them
I decided to do them 4" instead of the 8" original, because since I made my DJ I love little blocks.
Here are the first two I did today.

Hi friends,

today I made the first border for my DJ, it is the top border. It was difficult to cut the long fabric strips!
Now it is ready for the hand quilting.

LITTLE PROJECT

Hi friends!

during the Christmas time my eldest son Andrea was visiting us with his girlfriend Fabrizia and his little son Kevin (my grandson). She started to show a little interest in my sewing and so we decided to start a little project for her. She never did anything. Here is the result, I think it is very pretty and hope that she enjoyed the process.

Now they are back home in Switzerland and we already miss them! Next time I'll post some pictures of them.
