this was a busy
week-end. Still windy and rainy, great for patchwork!!
Inspired by my
friend Susan I decided to sew a tote bag for my trip to Nantes. Some
time ago I bought some Liberty fabrics and decided to use them for my
new Liberty set. I made a tote bag following some directions and
specially that one.
Then I made a
pouch (my first attempt with a zipper) following this tutorial and a kleenex holder.
I really love them all. I'll probably do some more things before my trip.
I hope you enjoyed your week-end and wish you a good start in the new week.
have great news to tell you!! My Dear Jane quilt has been selected
for the exhibition
"Pour l'amour du Fil" in Nantes, France. As
probably DJ fans know, this year is the 150th anniversary
of the original DJ Quilt by Jane Stickle. For this event the original
DJ will travel to France with Brenda Papadakis, the book author. The
organizers wanted to show 100 DJ quilts from all over the world. I
sent my registration and surprise, surprise..... my quilt was
selected!!!! I'm very excited and proud.
I'll sew some hangers on it (I didn't before as a kind of avoiding
bad luck), my label and then go to the post office to send it to
some pictures of my ANTICICLONE DEAR JANE.
there I will take tons of pictures from all the fantastic quilts and
